Dating Apps ~ Love Delivered To Your Door
As we immerse ourselves in 21st Century technology we find the need to ever leave our homes becoming a thing of the past. Everything we need can be delivered directly to your door. And now a new dating App is doing just that, your date delivered directly to your door.
Developers of, Love To Your Door Dot Com take the safety of its clients very seriously, CEO Joanne Redfern told us, …
…“ the first thing people ask is if it’s a good idea letting complete strangers into your home like this. To be honest they seem to forget they do it all the time with service engineers and grocery deliveries.”
We challenged this argument by stating that those aforementioned people are verified by well established, and trusted, big businesses. Her response was a little worrying to say the least.
“Anyone can get a job delivering and fixing things. It doesn’t guarantee your safety, Enhanced DBS’s aren’t worth the paper they’re written on. We know of several cases of males entering the homes of vulnerable women only to do them great harm. We have a team of researchers that can give you case by case examples of home invasions by men parading as utility workers.”
Pf Magazine caught up with some regular users of the App to hear their views on this worrying safety aspect. One user who didn’t want to be named had this to say,…
…“I was a little apprehensive at the start, but Joanne convinced me that I’m never really safe in my own home on a daily basis.”
We asked what her experiences of the App had been so far, and if she had come up against any problems.
“Well, there was one man who made me feel quite uncomfortable. He threw himself, literally, on to the sofa and asked if I had an X-box and Nachos. But the company has a zero tolerance policy, and after reporting him he was removed from their database.”
She went on to explain that anyone committing acts of indecency, or sexually harassing clients are struck off without question. We put this policy to Joanne, suggesting it was a case of shutting the stable door after the horse had bolted.
“Oh come on, if we all worried about our personal safety in such an extreme way we’d never meet our perfect match. Honestly, it’s political correctness gone mad if you ask me.” She went on to tell us, “we have a 10% success rate of matching our couples, what other dating App could tell you that?” We guess the answer to that question is NONE.
We contacted a man called John who has been using the app for a number of months now, he told us, “it’s just as dangerous for us guys you know, a lot of these women keep dogs that don’t seem to like strangers visiting. Some invite their mums, dads, siblings, best friends over who will all sit and watch the date. And they don’t mind commenting and throwing the odd insult at you, I can tell you.” When pressed on why he uses the App and how they decide which date is the visitor and which is the receiver he appeared to misunderstand the question and ended the interview.
Love To Your Door Dot Com’s tagline is, ‘You have to take risks in this life if you want to find your perfect match’.
We’ll let you make up your own mind.
